Ice climbing in the Ecrins
Attention all thrill seekers who do not cling to a calm and sedate lifestyle, you are on the right track. Head to the Écrins National Park, the ideal playground to learn ice climbing! For three days, we discover mountaineering techniques with our Captain experience. To begin, a quick return to the (frozen) benches of the ice school is essential, we discover the equipment and safety gestures. In the evening, the group meets for a good dinner before going the next day in the cool to the Freissinières Valley. Surrounded by a belt of rocky ridges, the long 20 km long valley offers a first climb on an artificial waterfall. In the afternoon, we go to the bottom of the valley on natural waterfalls. No need to block, everyone has their route according to their level. Once night falls, we continue to break the ice with the ascent of the Claux waterfall with headlamps. We are not dreaming yet but the atmosphere is truly magical. Finally, for the last day, we share a last rope team at Ceillac where several lengths of routes follow one another. Once at the top of the ice corridors, we reward ourselves with a delicious picnic facing an incredible panorama.
Learn mountaineering in the Chamonix-Mont-Blanc valley.
I would go and climb the great white paradise” would say Mireille Berger (yes, we know quite a few namesakes of stars). Like Mireille and her dream of adventure in a snowy landscape, why not opt for a mountaineering baptism in the Chamonix-Mont-Blanc Valley? After meeting our Captain and collecting the equipment, head to the village of Le Tour. We walk for 14 kilometers to our refuge, the Albert 1er at an altitude of 2,702 meters. The place is an emblematic spot of the Mont Blanc massif and overlooks the Aiguille du Tour and Chardonnet, the Aiguille Verte, and the Tour glacier. Facing this icy panorama, we learn the techniques of roping and crampons, perfect for a beginner who wants to climb the ladder. The next day, we keep a cool head with a day of studious and fun training where we learn all the mountaineering techniques. On the 3rd day, it is impossible to remain frozen, the ascent begins at dawn to the summit of the Tête Blanche at an altitude of 3,429 meters. We play on the sensitive rope team facing the unforgettable landscapes and the atmosphere of emerging solidarity in the group. On the last day, after a night in an alpine hut, we set off again for the Col Supérieur du Tour at an altitude of 3,289 meters, this time more comfortable in our crampons, we take full advantage of this last day in the glacial landscapes before returning to the dynamic village of Chamonix.

We set up the tents for the first bivouac of the stay and in the evening, it’s an atmosphere at the Auberge Espagnole with local specialties that everyone has taken care to bring. Then comes the first astronomy lesson given by Stephen (one of the Captains) who watches for the appearance of Saturn above the ridges. Friendly atmosphere at the end of the day, everyone can share their knowledge on astrology in connection with their personal history. Learn open-water swimming in Morbihan.
Do you have a vague impression of stagnating in your daily life? We suggest you dive head first into the water of the Quiberon peninsula to discover open water swimming. The introductory course is supervised by Damien Cattin-Vidal, former European champion. After a theoretical course and the setting up of a safe outing, it is time to jump into the water for the first outing at sea. After a list of beautiful strokes, we taste regional specialties under a teepee. The next day, we reach Keraude Beach with the help of our bikes before stocking up on iodine in the seawater. We treat ourselves to a little quiet time before getting tired, and we’re off again for the second open-water swimming session of the day. In the evening, well rinsed from this multitude of swimming, we enjoy a beautiful sunset to finish with a well-deserved aperitif and dinner. On the last day, we ride our bikes to admire the Côte Sauvage de Quiberon. We row against the current when it’s time to get back to our train, watching behind the foam of the beautiful days.
